Program Overview
The YGL Mentoring Program provides a valuable opportunity for individuals who are new to government service or in the early stages of their careers to build meaningful relationships with senior management professionals. These connections play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of government leaders.
The YGL mentoring aims to boost mentees’ growth and success by leveraging mentors’ experience. By focusing on skill development, confidence building, and goal achievement within a supportive framework, mentorship benefits both the mentee and mentor through shared learning and satisfaction.
Mentoring Program Overview Details
- The program includes orientation, career and professional development workshops, a mentee capstone project, and a graduation
- Career and professional development: assisting mentees in meeting their career goals by honing new capabilities.
- Skill development: through professional workshops and discussions
- Networking Opportunities: The mentor supports their mentee’s career development by introducing them to other professionals.
- A Mentee capstone project highlighting program highlights and key takeaways
Eligibility
- Mentees: Government Employees at the GS-13 and below or its equivalent
- Mentors: Government Employees at the GS-14/GS-15, and SES or its equivalent

Six months (March to August 2025)
