The Young Government Leadership (YGL) Emerging Leader Development Program is a 5-month program that utilizes a cohort model that will provide a supportive environment to develop targeted leadership skills. Participants will have the opportunity to cultivate professional multi-agency connections while engaging in the training sessions.
This 5-month leadership development program is offered to government employees (federal, state, local, and tribal) at grades GS 5 through GS 11 (or equivalent) and is designed to close leadership development gaps for government employees.
Program Overview
The goal of the Emerging Leader Development Program is to prepare entry-to-mid-level (GS-11 and below) public servants to address the challenges of the federal government by developing new skills and fostering meaningful relationships.

The program is virtual but incorporates interactive training sessions that are held once a month.
